I'm Home for a week

Alhamdulillah Finally Akhirnya, my short term course(what is semester sisipan in english???) was finished. that's why this afternoon I'm back to my hometown in Cilacap, perhaps for a week. Finally Bisa juga ng-compile aplikasi qt

Tadi pagi ba'da subuh, iseng-iseng nyobain nulis program pake Qt lagi. buku C++ Gui Programming With Qt 3 yang gw print hampir dua mingguan yang lalu cuma nganggur dikamar karena kesibukan kuliah n lab belakangan (ceile....pake sibuk lagi ya). sebenernya bukan cuma "sibuk" tapi karena pertama kali nyoba ngompile program qt gagal (hiks....hiks....)

Dunno Why, tapi tadi nyobain program yang ada dibuku Qt tak masukin directory yang namanya sama dengan nama file source c++ nya. jadi file hello.cpp tak masukin ke direktori hello. and.... ya it just works nicely, nggak ada hambatan ketika nulis

$ qmake -project
$ qmake
$ make

perintah pertama menghasilkan file baru bernama hello.pro. perintah kedua untuk mbuat Makefile yang jadi referensi kompiler. perintah terakhir jelas banget untuk ngompile. Ok Sekian dulu. Insya ALLAH kedepannya hal-hal kayak gini bakal gw tulis di blog gw yang laen learn2code

Ya jelas aja kalau pake linux nggak bisa pake Aplikasi "itu", lha wong Microsoftnya sendiri yang nggak mau ngeluarin versi Linuxnya kok(gila kali ya kalau M$ ngeluarin MS Office versi Linux;-) yang jadi inti dari semuanya kan bukan aplikasi apa tapi apa yang diajarkan, kalaupun di Linux nggak ada MS Word(Word Processor), toh ada OpenOffice Writer, Abiword dll. kalau ndak ada MS Excel (Spreadsheet) kan ada OpenOffice Calc, Gnumeric, KSpread, dll, Untuk presentasi ada OpenOffice Impress dll. Coba deh lihat, bukankah di Linux (dan di dunia FOSS - Free and Open Source Software) jauh lebih banyak pilihannya?

Gw cm berharap(cuma harapan bukan doa) keputusan kerjasama itu keputusan terbaik bagi BPK Penabur, dan gw berharap sekolah-sekolah lain nggak mengikuti jejak sekolah ini, especially my lovely HighSchool. Jadi mikir-mikir lagi mau nyari MSCA. Ada saran?

Today I have no different post but just saying "Happy B-DAY" to my lovely IPUL. Umm semoga panjang umur, sehat selalu, tambah takwa, patuh sama nasihat2 ortu, cepet lulus and cepet dapet ijab sah. disayang semua orang dan tambah care sama semua orang.

'You've got to find what you love,' Jobs says

I'm not really sure what is this, I got it from Mr. Budi Rahardjo's blog. If I'm not misinterpreted it, it is Steve Jobs(The CEO of Apple Corp) on Stanford University, nice and enlightening. he told about three most important things in his life. The first is about Connecting the dots, he said that we can't connect the dot of our life forward but we just can do it backward.

The second one is about love and loss where he share his part of life when he get fired from a company which he started, yes you're right, Apple Corp. and the last one is about death. a quote from his speech :

"Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. Happy Birthday Dyah

Today is Dyah's birthday. She is my friend in High School. She's my classmate when I was Stucked on the Social Class when I was in my final year. I'm not really sure but I think she is 20 now. I hope she will be more in everythings, more clever, more beautiful, have a nice, cute, rich, and kind boy friend and so on. Happy Birthday Dyah!!!!!!!!!

Sebenernya mungkin bukan tulisan karena cuma tabel perbandingan aplikasi-aplikasi windows dan linux. misalnya di Windows ada photoshop di linux ada Gimp(meskipun di Windows ada Gimp juga sih) OK, have a nice comparison
